In medium-voltage distribution systems, the SM6 medium-voltage switchgear modules have become core distribution equipment for industrial buildings, data centers, municipal infrastructure, and other applications due to their modular design, high reliability, and intelligent interconnection capabilities.

This classic modular product from Schneider Electric features a flexible combination system of air-insulated, metal-enclosed switchgear. Its core purpose is to provide safe and efficient distribution solutions for 24-36kV medium-voltage secondary distribution networks.

The SM6 module employs a standardized unit design that can be configured into various functional modules based on power distribution requirements. Core modules include the switch unit (IM), fuse-switch combination unit (QM), circuit breaker unit (DM1-A), and metering unit (GBC-B).

Each module employs a metal-sealed structure, with critical internal switching components sealed within SF6-gas-filled chambers. This design complies with “sealed pressure system” standards, delivering superior insulation and arc-quenching performance. Additionally, dual mechanical and electrical interlocking devices are incorporated to effectively prevent misoperation and ensure operational safety.

With a rated current range of 400-1250A and a maximum short-time withstand current of 25kA, it meets the load requirements of most medium-voltage distribution scenarios.
