The EKL-5 Temperature-Indicating Grounding and Short-Circuit Fault Indicator is an intelligent panel-type monitoring device that integrates the functions of fault location for grounding and short circuits, as well as wireless temperature measurement.

It is installed on the panels of distribution network switch cabinets (such as ring main units, switch stations), enabling the dual goals of rapid fault location and early warning of equipment overheating.

• Dual-core function integration: The fault indication (short circuit, grounding) and wireless temperature measurement functions are integrated in a single design, saving space and cost.

• Non-contact temperature measurement: By receiving data from wireless temperature sensors (installed at potential overheating points such as cable connectors), it provides secure isolation and flexible installation.

• Intelligent Diagnosis and Alarm: It has algorithms for preventing surge current malfunctions and can accurately identify faults. The temperature over-limit (warning/alarm) is indicated separately from the fault type, with a clear logic.

• Information integration display: The LCD screen or combined indicator lights simultaneously display information such as current, temperature, fault status, and communication status.

• Flexible Communication: Supports communication methods such as RS485, 4G/NB-IoT, and LoRa, facilitating integration into the distribution network automation system.
